What a wonderful piece to reminisce about the joys of pretending as a young child. I imagine this to be very easy to relate to for many people, it will definitely stick with many people or at least send some nostalgia their way. I'm sure many people remember the days with no worries, simply acting out their wildest imaginations.
This is a mostly original piece, I surprisingly don't see nostalgic poetry often. It's a rather simple subject, still.
I love how subtle most of the rhyming is, I barely noticed it until I began going over the poem a few times for this critique. It's subtle, but effective, and it makes the flow seem so much more natural. The technique used is very outstanding. It also makes the visual much more clear, along side the easily relatable subject.
Truly a well written piece to praise the wonders of childhood, and adulthood, games and masquerades.
